Position Summary


The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the Headmaster and ensure the efficient operation of the school's office. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including managing schedules, coordinating communications, and overseeing administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a professional demeanor. This position plays a critical role in supporting the Headmaster's leadership and the overall mission of Ascent Classical Academy.


Essential Functions:


Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Headmaster, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and organizing meetings

Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and presentations as needed

Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications on behalf of the Headmaster

Assist in the planning and coordination of school events, meetings, and special projects

Maintain accurate and organized filing systems, both electronic and physical

Support budget management and tracking of expenses related to the office

Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure smooth communication and workflow within the school

Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Develop and implement office procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Provide assistance and direction as needed to foster a supportive and respectful environment

Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance by adhering to assigned work hours, reporting on time, and following proper procedures for absences or tardiness to ensure minimal disruption to students, colleagues, and school operations.

Willingness to perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:


Commitment to high moral character necessary to sustain ordered liberty and constitutional self-government

Adherence to the policies, mission, and vision of Ascent Classical Academy Charter Schools of Colorado

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous experience as an office manager, executive assistant, or in a similar administrative role preferred

Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software

Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, and families

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude

Willingness to take responsibility for being on time and maintaining attendance as an essential part of job performance

Ability to develop positive and professional relationships with team members

Ability to provide excellent customer service and always maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Willingness to perform other related duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:


Ability to use a computer and other office equipment for extended periods

Ability to lift and carry office supplies and materials, up to 25 pounds

Ability to supervise indoor and outdoor activities
