Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in providing formal and/or informal evaluations to detect the existence or non-existence of a speech/language disability. Assist in the development of an individualized Education Plan (IEP), based of student's assessed needs, in order for student to make reasonable educational progress. Implement and document goals and objectives from the IEP and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members.

Duties:

• Support the approved Colorado Springs Charter Academy school's curriculum.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' speech/language, and organize treatment plans based on evaluation results.
• Provide therapy sessions to students to improve their speech/ language.
• Collaborate with other staff members, parents/guardians, to integrate speech/language goals with student's academic objectives.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to enhance communication.
• Document student progress, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology
• Comply with School policies and procedures including meeting with assigned students at scheduled location and time.

Requirements:

• Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pediatric development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Compassionate nature and genuine desire to help students improve their quality of life
