At James Madison Charter Academy, we truly believe in the African Proverb that it takes a village to raise a child. We value our families-first atmosphere and take time to educate the "whole child" via a standards-based and project-oriented/project-based curriculum.

We are looking for an inspiring and creative teacher to help shape our students' futures and provide them with a quality education. The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely cares about their students and takes the time to get to know them on a personal level. As a caring instructor, you'll bring your knowledge of current education techniques as well as your experience working with young children to your new job.

Responsibilities:

• Teach math to and help develop the problem solving skills of kindergarten scholars.
• Help scholars learn the fundamentals in the areas of reading, writing, math, social studies, and science.
• Create learning activities to challenge scholars.
• Use technology for educational purposes.
• Provide an inclusive, rigorous, and inviting learning environment;
• Engage in school wide professional development and professional learning communities (PLC) in order to help the school "push the needle" for student academic growth;
• Deliver trauma-informed teaching strategies that enable you to recognize that no "two children" are alike;
• Develop curriculum and lesson plans that are rigorous, measurable, and aligned with Colorado Standards and JMCA's strands;
• Form meaningful relationships with families and involve parents in their children’s education.
• Cultivate a positive learning environment.
