One common challenge shared during our discussion was recruiting quality board members. One chair has found success using VolunteerMatch.org—have you found other effective methods for recruiting new members? I’d love to hear what has worked for you.
Additionally, a question was raised about what to include in a new member onboarding checklist. Below is the checklist I use:

Thank you for your service on SCHOOL'S Board of Directors. The following resources have been compiled to support you in your new role. Please review them as outlined below.
In addition to this guide, you will meet with the board president and vice president one week before your first meeting to review key information and walk through the agenda to ensure you feel prepared. Approximately three months after your first meeting, the board president will be available for a follow-up discussion to address any questions.
