Mountain Phoenix Community School is accepting applications for a

Early Childhood Lead Assistant for the 2025-26 school year. 

The Lead Early Childhood Assistant Teacher will have a deep understanding of Waldorf early childhood education and live into the beauty of it. The Assistant will work hand in hand with the Lead Teacher to provide a loving, nurturing environment for the children. We are looking for a compassionate human who has strong communication skills, demonstrates warmth, knowledge of child development, and is able to observe and care for our children’s physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual development and wellbeing. She/He/They will rise as a reflection of their Lead Teacher and stand at the forefront of preserving the magic of early childhood.  

All employees of the school will be employed on an at-will basis and will meet fingerprinting and background check requirements.

Required Qualifications:  

  • Waldorf Training and Experience Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited University
  • ECT Qualified
  • Current CPR / First Aid
  • Active and up to date PDIS account with credential Level 2 or higher

The ideal candidate will have a love and understanding of the young child. The ideal candidate is interested and inspired by Steiner’s teachings and excited to bring forth the core principles of Public Waldorf Education.
