Anticipated start date for this position is August 1st, 2025.

The High School Math Teacher works under the supervision of the Academic Dean and is responsible for meeting all scheduled classes and providing instruction in accordance with CEC's academic philosophy, goals, and objectives.

Job Duties:

Uphold CEC's beliefs found on the CEC website.

Develop and administer Mathematics education curriculum consistent with CEC's academic philosophy, goals, and objectives.

Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and activities to enhance learning and to demonstrate the application of course work to everyday life.

Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and modifies instructional methods accordingly.

Promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to student and small group learning by ensuring student conduct conforms with CEC's Student and Family Handbook and CEC policies.

Ensure effective communication with students and parents.

Organize and maintain Infinite Campus (IC) for accurate and complete recordkeeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievements, and daily attendance as required in CEC policies.

Select and requisition appropriate textbooks, instructional aids, supplies, and equipment; maintain inventory records.

Collaborate with other CEC staff members and participate in staff meetings and professional development as requested by the Academic Dean.

Continue to acquire professional knowledge and keep informed of current developments in education.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university applicable to the teaching assignment, OR

Endorsement on a Colorado teaching license, OR

36 semester credit hours in the core subject area, OR

Passing score on a State Board of Education approved content exam (currently the ETS Praxis Series).
