Mountain Phoenix Community School is accepting applications for a full-time 

Lower School Grade 1 Assistant for the 2025-26 school year. 

The Lower School Grade 1 Assistant will work hand in hand with the Class Teacher to provide a loving, nurturing environment for the children. We are looking for a compassionate human who has strong communication skills, demonstrates warmth, knowledge of child development, and is able to observe and care for our children’s physical, emotional, social and intellectual development and wellbeing.  

Required Qualifications:  

Waldorf Training and Experience Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited University

Current CPR / First Aid


The ideal candidate will have a love and understanding of the growing child, grades 1-3. The ideal candidate is interested and inspired by Steiner’s teachings and excited to bring forth the core principles of Public Waldorf Education.
