James Irwin Charter Elementary School?s vision is to provide a dynamic educational experience to all its students, teaching them to a high mastery level in all their academic areas. This will be achieved through a unique combination of the Core Knowledge Sequence and careful application of Direct Instruction curricula and methods, supported by school-wide positive behavior management procedures. Furthermore, all students will be taught at their current skill level in the three basic areas (reading, math, and spelling) in smaller groups using a flexible grouping system, thereby offering each student an individualized education.
