The Business Services department supports member schools through timely consultation on facilities, financing options, compliance, operational and financial support. Our members rely on the League’s thought leadership through consultations, training, guidance, and partnerships.

Our Mission is to Help You

The League’s Business Service program has several offerings that can simplify your workload and get your school headed in the best direction quickly. These programs were developed as a direct result of requests from your peer charter schools across the state and they continue to evolve based on member feedback.


We believe that there are four critical stages to the development of your facilities planning process. Discovery, Teaming, Analysis, Details, Communications, and Presentation. While needs and situations differ we believe that we can support your team in building a plan and alignment to that plan through this process.

Creating your facilities or board team 

  • Assisting in vetting and planning the diverse team of vendors and your own team to find a facility and prepare to open your school
  • Determine your necessary board composition and expertise

Create a competitive analysis 

  • What are the District schools & other charter schools in your area
  • Establishing the services and programs within a five-mile radius
  • Evaluating and setting your student and family target demographics

Create a three-year Proforma

  • Building realistic enrollment projections by grade for future years
  • Budget based on best practice target percentages (% of revenue for salaries, benefits, facilities, etc.)

Communications plan 

  • Who are your key audiences
  • What message are you sending
  • What are your talking points and what are your goals
