ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in.
Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.
Grade student work, enter grades weekly into an online gradebook.
Attend (virtual and physical) and actively participate in all required staff meetings and professional development.
Share lesson plans with administration and modify accordingly throughout the year.
Partner with special education staff and others to implement student's IEP’s, ALP’s and 504’s.
Administer school-wide assessments including CMAS, MAP.
Utilize various curriculum resources and technologies to enhance student learning.
Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
Conduct student/parent/teacher conferences.
Communicate with parents as needed.
Observe and evaluate student's performance.
Manage student behavior in the classroom creating appropriate behavior strategies.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING 
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Substitute teaching license
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & EQUIPMENT Must possess demonstrated skills in classroom and online implementation of best practices in instructional strategies, demonstrated success in working with learners, and experience with leading online learning. Demonstrated leadership skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of standard school technology, ability to effectively and efficiently use for a variety of purposes, and demonstrated success in using Teacher, Secondary technology and information literacy in instruction. Willingness to learn new technology. Ability to help others make sense of and adjust to change. Must be flexible and have capacity for dealing with ambiguity. Willingness to work a flexible schedule. Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability in interpreting assessment data collected from a variety of sources. Willingness to be a contributing member of the school.
