Capital Campaign Manager
Peak to Peak Charter School
Please note that this is a temporary position tied to the specific timeframe of the campaign, which is anticipated to last three years.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Campaign Planning and Management: Refine the overall campaign plan and timetable, focusing on phase activities, goals, committee structure, activity and fundraising benchmarks, and campaign budget. Ensure that all campaign activities align with the school’s strategic objectives. Identify and monitor campaign plan strategies to help keep campaign activity on schedule and on track.
Leadership and Volunteer Coordination: Lead the recruitment, training, and engagement of campaign leadership and volunteers. Organize the activities of the Campaign Steering Committee and other key groups to maximize their fundraising efforts. Provide regular updates and reports to staff and committee leaders, evaluating progress and making necessary adjustments.
Donor Engagement: Oversee the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of prospective donors, including individual and foundation contributors. Develop tailored prospect proposals, conduct prospect research, and assist in solicitation meeting prep. Ensure effective donor recognition and implement a pledge acknowledgment system.
Campaign Communication and Materials Production: Refine and adapt the comprehensive campaign communications strategy, including the oversight of promotional materials such as brochures, newsletters, and press releases. Manage the production of key campaign operative materials such as the campaign case and policy statements.
Event and Activities Coordination: Coordinate campaign-specific activities such as meetings, dinners and receptions, and fundraising events to engage donors and stakeholders effectively.
Administrative and Operational Support: Provide support in all administrative aspects of the campaign, including preparation of meeting materials, handling general correspondence, keeping the school’s CRM updated, and maintaining prospect and pipeline lists and tracking systems.
Promote Peak to Peak: Participate in school events to promote and educate Peak to Peak families and members of the community on Peak to Peak Charter School and its capital campaign.
Communications: Collaborate with the EDO to communicate with the Peak to Peak community regarding the status of capital campaign efforts, including ensuring that the stewardship of gifts from donors and volunteers is honored by the school.
Education, Experience, and Desired Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- Commitment to Peak to Peak’s mission and vision
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of fundraising, public relations, marketing, or sales. Proven experience in campaign management, preferably within an educational or non-profit setting, is ideal.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in data management and the use of CRM systems for tracking and reporting. Experience with Bloomerang preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with the Denver metro business and civic communities, including Boulder County
