Education & Certification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required

Current Colorado Teaching License required
Experience

Successful completion of student teaching assignment

Previous teaching experience in subject area and/or grade level desirable

Teacher Responsibilities
Instruction:

Plan and implement instruction aligned with BFA’s curriculum

Assess student abilities using formal and informal methods

Use class time effectively

Apply teaching principles to enhance student achievement

Use appropriate teaching methods for objectives and learners

Communicate effectively with students

Maintain student engagement and facilitate smooth transitions

Use evaluations to measure instructional effectiveness

Communicate student progress to students and guardians

Begin and continue instruction through the full period

Use assessment data to differentiate instruction
