Hello Charter School Board Chairs,
Welcome back to school! The Board Chair Cohort is your space to connect with fellow chairs and presidents, learn from one another, and find solutions to common challenges. Each meeting begins with introductions, moves into a featured topic, and ends with open sharing and problem-solving.
We’re kicking off the year with something exciting—a sneak peek of our new Charter School Board Governance Playbook. This comprehensive, free resource will be available on our website later this fall, but cohort members will be among the first to explore it.
You’ll also get an early look at our new online training modules—a self-paced, no-cost way for boards across Colorado to build essential “Board 101” skills.
Both the Playbook and the Modules are organized around six core areas of governance:

3. School Leader Hiring, Oversight, and Evaluation
4. Navigating Risk
5. Academic Performance
6. Meetings and Members
Throughout the year, we’ll dive deeper into many of these topics together.
