About Vanguard School (High School), The
The Vanguard School offers a traditional, classical education which challenges students to excel in their abilities, regardless of their gifts or talents. Our focus is on the western tradition emanating from the Greeks and Romans and the ideas and events that shaped that tradition. Our students critically consider the nature of the human condition by studying the great literature and important historical events that have shaped western civilization. We prepare our students to gain admittance to and achieve success at their college of choice.
Our attentive college counseling program works with students from the time they join The Vanguard School through college acceptance. We offer a strong academic focus, a rigorous curriculum, a full range of advanced placement (AP) courses, an individual student focus, and award-winning teachers. Parents can be certain that the values they teach their children at home will not be compromised by the school curriculum. Students will appreciate a mature learning environment free from distraction.
Students join a group of peers and friends who share the same values and challenge them to be their best. The variety of extracurricular activities we offer helps students develop leadership skills. The Vanguard School believes that non-academic activities are vital to the development of well-rounded adults. Leadership opportunities found in clubs, sports, and community service allow students to develop their interests while pursuing a quality education.
