Power Technical (PTEC), a James Irwin Charter school is a pre-engineering/professional trade school that serves students grades 6-14. PTEC offer a program of solid academics, 90 minutes of shop class per day and character/work ethic classes every year. A part of Colorado P-TECH: Pathways in Technology Early College High Schools, PTEC students can earn a tuition-free Associate’s Degrees in a skilled trade at Pikes Peak State College. Trades taught at PTEC include construction, welding, CAD, engineering, machining, electrical, plumbing, fire science, automotive and more.
