School Access for Emergency Response Grant Program
Get Ready- SAFER Grant FY 2027 is Coming this Spring!
To Be Announced: The School Access for Emergency Response (SAFER) grant is expected to open this spring. This program provides support for initiatives that enhance school emergency response capabilities through improved interoperable communications systems. More details will be announced soon as we work together to make our schools safer and more secure.
To prepare for the upcoming SAFER RFP, we encourage you to ensure you have a current Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and a current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with your local law enforcement agency or agencies which serve the school for communications interoperability. "Current" is defined as having been updated within the last three years.
