Healthy School Meals for All Grant Programs
Beginning SY 2026-2027, all sponsors operating the Healthy School Meals for All program will be eligible for funding through two new grant programs. Non-competitive applications will open this spring.
- Local Food Program: Funding to purchase local products.
- Wages and Stipends: Funding to support wage increases or stipends for frontline cafeteria workers.
CDE will email district leaders listed in the Colorado Nutrition Portal as the Sponsoring Official, Program Main Contact and Business Manager with the highest estimated funding levels available for each program. Please be on the lookout for this email.
Sponsors are encouraged to read the LFP and Wages and Stipends FAQs on the Reimbursement and Funding webpage for information on the application process, program requirements and best practices. Office hours are also available for sponsors to learn more:
- Local Food Program: Held three times weekly on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Wages and Stipends: Held twice per month from March through May.
