School Quality Reviews |
WORKING TO IMPROVE QUALITYThe Colorado League of Charter Schools is dedicated to supporting charter schools across Colorado. We are committed to helping schools reach higher levels of student performance and overall operational success. While we will come in with a critical eye, we are also on “your team” and want the absolute best for your students and school. All of our experts are Colorado-based, experienced charter school leaders. We look forward to working with you. School Quality ReviewThe purpose of the League’s School Quality Review is to provide school leadership and governing boards with an evidence-based, objective, and triangulated body of evidence to drive systemic continuous improvement within the school’s unique model and mission. The League team of 4-7 education professionals and experts spend three days on-site. The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Standards for Continuous Improvement rubric is the primary assessment instrument that drives the reviews. Data used to assess this rubric is collected and triangulated through stakeholder interviews, classroom observations, and document review. The Review concludes with the team lead providing the school with 1) a fully completed assessment rubric with evidence, 2) an executive summary of strengths, and 3) recommended next steps for school improvement. After this thorough body of evidence is presented it may be partnered with student outcome data to build a precise and effective school improvement plan. The school review team is also available to then facilitate staff at the school in using this review to create and implement detailed and actionable school improvement plans to improve student performance.
