Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Commitment to Montessori Peaks Academy mission, vision, and guiding principles.
Teach students the principles of design through disciplines such as drawing, painting and sculpture.
Demonstrate the ability to incorporate the use of technology into curriculum as it relates to art.
Encourage student creativity.
Ability to assess students and differentiate instruction to meet all students' abilities.
Demonstrates the ability to become a valuable and contributing member of the staff, including work with co-curricular and enrichment activities.
Demonstrate knowledge of Elementary level Visual Arts curriculum Academic Standards.
Willingness to organize and facilitate an evening of the arts event for the commitment.
Willingness to support special events relating to other Specials content areas (Music, Art).
Ability to use effective classroom management techniques creating a positive and supportive education environment.
Strong organizational and leadership skills and the ability to work with parents, community, students, other teachers and administrators in collaborative settings.
Other duties as assigned by the Principal.
