Join us for a conversation with Darcy Hutchins, Director of Family and School Community Partnerships at CDE, as we talk about establishing a proven, research-based structure at your school called Family-School-Community Partnering (FSCP). She'll share high-impact strategies in the context of overlapping spheres of influence – because we know student success is a true team effort.

About the Speaker: Darcy Hutchins, Ph.D.
Darcy serves as the Director of Family, School, Community Partnerships for the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). In addition to supporting districts in implementing family partnership programs, she also staffs the State Advisory Council for Parent Involvement in Education (SACPIE). Dr. Hutchins also teaches at the University of Denver and serves on advisory boards.
Prior to joining CDE, Dr. Hutchins was a Senior Program Facilitator at Johns Hopkins University, providing technical assistance for school, family, and community partnership programs nationwide. She began her career as a first-grade teacher in Baltimore City. Her research focuses on the impact of leadership on school, family, and community collaboration, and she has authored several publications, including School, Family, and Community Partnerships: Your Handbook for Action (Corwin, 2018). Darcy enjoys being an aunt, a cat-mom, a Mini Cooper driver, a New York Yankees fan, and holds a Canadian birth certificate.
