Education and Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree for relevant subjects along with passing Praxis required
- Teaching experience in K-6 preferred
- Commitment to Core Knowledge and Classical Education
- Experience in effectively solving challenging problems through a positive, collaborative approach
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a joyful and organized classroom
- Maintain discipline that fosters a safe and positive learning environment
- Collaborate with other faculty to analyze student data and deliver appropriate instruction
- Adapt teaching methods to meet students’ varying needs and offer additional support according to the school MTSS framework
- Communicate professionally and regularly with students, families, and colleagues concerning student academic and behavioral progress and facilitate resolution of concerns as necessary
- Attend and participate in all department meetings and implement teaching techniques and strategies learned
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding of students and attend all meetings for additional student support
