Cherry Creek Academy (CCA) is an academically rigorous public charter school serving students from kindergarten through eighth grade. CCA utilizes the Core Knowledge© curriculum and values academic achievement, character development, and community service.
We are looking for an exceptional person to fulfill the role of elementary teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates must possess the ability to create high-quality, rigorous, and engaging instruction and an ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
Responsibilities Include:
- Plan rigorous, engaging, and effective lessons that align with the Core Knowledge© curriculum
- Deliver whole group data driven instruction
- Observes, evaluates, reports and records students' performance
- Provide clear scope and sequence of instruction to meet the needs of students
- Offer additional instructional support as needed for students in 1:1 and small group settings
- Cultivate an inclusive and positive classroom environment with well-defined procedures that allows students to achieve at high levels
- Monitors, supervises, coordinates and enforces rules of conduct and behavior of assigned students, and reinforces positive student behaviors in accordance with school and District policy
- Maintain a weekly online gradebook through PowerSchool and a teacher newsletter
- Uphold all district and school policies regarding student safety
- Work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents to provide a successful educational experience
- Exude a commitment to participating in school-based activities and events as needed
- Perform other duties as requested
Requirements:
- Must possess a current Colorado Teacher License with endorsement in Elementary Education and passing score on the PLACE or Praxis II in elementary education, OR qualify for Alternative License and passing score on the PLACE or Praxis II in elementary education.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.

Salary: $58,000-$65,000 starting, negotiable
