As the federal court judge struck down the 2024 Title IX regulations in their entirety, this means we will revert back to 2020 Title IX regulations, but any procedural aspects of the 2024 regulations may be implemented for better practice and mitigation. However, the definitions and substantive changes noted in 2024 no longer apply. In the meantime, the most significant 2024 changes that no longer apply are the definitions of what constitutes “sex”. These will no longer apply as a result of January's 2025 decision.
This training highlights the emerging issues confronting Title IX compliance in K-12 educational organizations. The training discusses civil rights for students, including Title IX, protections for sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. Intended to provide annual recurrent training for Title IX Coordinators, this program is ideal for school leaders, board members, counselors, and teachers. Participants learn how anti-harassment principles can be applied across school policies to enhance a positive school culture for students and employees.
