The 2026 Charter School Advocacy Day will take place on Thursday, January 29th, in downtown Denver, bringing together charter school students, teachers, and leaders from across Colorado for a day of advocacy, learning, and leadership.

Attendees will gain insight into the legislative process, learn effective advocacy strategies, and explore education bills that could impact charter schools. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the Capitol and meet with elected officials to discuss the unique needs of charter schools and how policymakers can support them.

Participants will have access to online training before advocacy day to maximise their time at the Capitol. The event will include lunch and engaging discussions with legislators and their staff.

We would love to have you join us for this impactful day. It is a unique opportunity to strengthen the collective voice of charter school advocates, reinforce the importance of policy engagement and community support.

A Powerful Partnership for Advocacy Day 2026

We’re excited to announce that EF (Education First) is partnering with the Colorado League of Charter Schools as the exclusive sponsor for our 2026 Advocacy Day at the State Capitol! EF’s educational travel programs help students connect classroom learning to the real world—building confidence, empathy, and cultural understanding.

To make Advocacy Day even more memorable, EF will offer optional guided walking tours through historic downtown Denver, giving students a chance to experience our state’s civic and cultural history first-hand. We can’t wait to see how this partnership inspires students to become advocates and leaders here in Colorado and beyond. Please join us for an unforgettable day and let’s empower the next generation of leaders together!
