Sponsor the Summer Food Service Program
The Summer Food Service Program provides an opportunity to continue offering nutritious meals at no cost to families during the summer when children and teens no longer have access to school meals. According to data from the Colorado KidsCount Survey, nearly 30% of Colorado households with children experience financial hardship. Become a program sponsor or continue sponsorship this summer to provide summer meals in your community.
Save the Date! School Nutrition will offer a multi-part training event for sponsors this spring. Part 1 is a virtual sponsor training series that is now available on Moodle. Part 2 is a live webinar that will take place on Thursday, March 12, from 1-3 p.m. This live webinar will focus on program updates, reminders and non-congregate meal service.
