Review the new USDA Rural Designation map for summer meal programs

The Office of School Safety was recently alerted that due to the current budget issues the state is experiencing, we will need to postpone distributing funds for the School Security Disbursement Grant Program for Fiscal Year 2026.

The Colorado Project AWARE Resource Collection brings together resources created through the Colorado Department of Education’s Project AWARE 2020 and 2022 grants.

Sponsors may apply to operate the Afterschool Snack Program at any time during the school year. Participating sites can serve nutritious snacks during afterschool programs, including educational and enrichment activities.

The Summer Food Service Program provides an opportunity to continue offering nutritious meals at no cost to families during the summer when children and teens no longer have access to school meals.
