Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive IEPs, ensuring all goals and accommodations are met in alignment with state and federal regulations.
- Provide specialized individual and small-group instruction tailored to students' academic and functional needs.
- Facilitate inclusive support within the classroom and during Venture project time to ensure equitable access to the curriculum.
- Monitor and report on student progress using data-driven tools (e.g., NWEA MAP, CMAS) to inform instructional adjustments.
- Coordinate and lead IEP meetings, acting as a primary liaison between families, staff, and external service providers.
- Support students on various learning plans and assist with transitions between grade levels or post-secondary pathways.
- Collaborate with staff to implement effective classroom interventions and behavioral support strategies.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion by advocating for the unique needs and strengths of all learners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Colorado Teaching License with a Special Education Generalist endorsement (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Experience in differentiated instruction and project-based learning preferred.
- Strong understanding of social-emotional learning and crisis intervention.
- CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.
