Work Days: Full-time position -  185 days 
Reports To: Principal and Assistant Principal
Salary: $50K - $70K Based on experience, qualifications, and alignment with Legacy Academy mission, vision, and philosophy.

Legacy Academy is a growing and expanding K-8 Charter School in Elizabeth, CO. We have an opening for a Kindergarten Teacher for the 2026-27 school year.

Legacy Academy seeks candidates who will:

Responsibilities:

  • Faithfully implements the Capturing Kids Hearts process for effective classroom management and positive school culture.
  • Plans and prepares lessons consistent with Legacy Academy’s instructional framework.
  • Delivers in-person instruction to students that is engaging and informative.
  • Reviews student progress data regularly to gauge the progress of individual students.
  • Implements approved Legacy Academy curriculum with fidelity.
  • Creates positive relationships with other Legacy Academy staff and lives out the social contract created by staff.
  • Models professional and ethical standards when interacting with students, staff, community, and parents.
  • Communicates effectively when writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Arrives on time prepared for each workday, including days with students, parent-teacher conferences, and teacher in-service days.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Possess strong content knowledge and instructional skills
  • Tech skills to operate basic computer programs
  • Enjoy working with elementary students
