What You’ll Do
As our K-8 Music Teacher, your primary focus will be:
- Inspiring Artistry: Create and implement engaging daily lessons aligned with the Core Knowledge sequence, fostering both intellectual and social development through music.
- Performance & Practice: Lead students in discovering their musical talents, overseeing classroom routines that promote respect, cooperation, and creative risk-taking.
- Instructional Innovation: Integrate technology into your teaching strategies and use data-driven instruction to differentiate for diverse learners.
- Community Connection: Collaborate with colleagues to meet students’ academic and social-emotional needs, and maintain proactive, professional communication with families.
- Cultural Leadership: Model and promote RMAE’s Core Virtues while providing a safe, positive, and high-energy educational environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field.
- Licensure: Valid Colorado teaching license with a Music endorsement (or "Highly Qualified" status).
- Mindset: A willingness to grow professionally and a commitment to working within a team-oriented charter environment.
- Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication; ability to pivot creatively to meet student needs.
- Bonus Points: Previous experience in a charter school setting is a significant plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $54,500-70,500, determined by experience and qualifications
- 182 day contract
