Behind the Mic [slides & recording]

Added by: Melia Nunez Date added: December 12, 2025 Version number: 1

Libby Cowles, Interim Director of Enrollment and Community Outreach at Animas High School, along with Greg Phillips, AHS Board of Directors, and Drew Semel, AHS Digital Arts Teacher, joined us to share the story behind Beyond the Bell—a seven-episode podcast produced in just six weeks. The team discussed why podcasting was the right medium for elevating student voice and exploring meaningful, purpose-driven education. They also walked through their rapid production process and the lessons they learned about storytelling, community engagement, and capturing authentic student perspectives.

    Slides are attached.
