SpEd Leader Cohort Meeting Tomorrow (22nd) at 9:30!

At a time when SpEd teachers are hard to keep and even harder to find, I have been thinking a lot about ways that we can make the role more sustainable in order to retain our teachers. Specifically I have been noticing a trend of inflating push in and pullout service minutes as a means to compensate for gaps in Tier 1 support and access. I would love to use the time tomorrow to do some collective thinking and sharing of ideas of how we both truly write IEP services based on student needs while building Tier 1 capacity to provide access through accommodations/modifications and just good teaching strategies like reteaching, scaffolding, and differentiation.
