Real Impact from Real Visits

At Marble Charter School, the League learned how transportation from Carbondale helps make the school more accessible for working families in their rural area. The school’s multi-age learning model supports flexible, place-based education that takes advantage of their unique mountain setting. Founded in 1995, Marble also reflects the long history and staying power of Colorado’s charter movement, a story worth preserving and celebrating.

Roosevelt Charter Academy in Colorado Springs serves a high percentage of students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch and multilingual learners. During the visit, school leaders shared their highly data-informed approach to accelerating student growth and highlighted their strong reputation for serving students with special education needs. They’re not just responding to community needs; they’re anticipating them, with plans to open a preschool alongside their middle school expansion.

These aren’t outliers. Similar stories exist in charter schools across Colorado. School visits help us find them, learn from them and share them with the broader charter community.

Why These Visits Matter

School visits ensure you’re aware of the programs, benefits and expertise available through the League. They also give our staff a clearer picture of where schools need support and create opportunities to elevate your story and share what’s working across Colorado’s charter school community.
