About Westgate Community School
Westgate Community School is an innovative school that remains small by design and seeks to serve gifted students who would benefit from a creative, collaborative and less traditional educational environment. At Westgate Community School, gifted learners will explore their passions and develop their knowledge and skills, achieving success by focusing on individualized goals in a community centered on academic, personal, social and technological excellence. Our educational programming focuses on the whole child - Mind, Body and Community. For the Mind, we prioritize complex, creative, mindful and applied academics and social-emotional learning. For the Body, we emphasize the importance of movement, self-care and self-regulation. For the Community, we value our partnership with our families, that we are a village grounded in values of service and equity while remembering that we are inextricably connected to our earth and environment. Westgate is K-12 gifted education for the whole child.
