2025-2026 Great Schools Colorado Grant Competition Opens Soon
The Great Schools Colorado team and the Colorado League of Charter Schools are proud to announce that the second round of competition for the Charter Schools Program (CSP) for fiscal year 2026 will open this month and close in March. More details, including the exact date and time, will be forthcoming.
This five-year program began with the League being awarded the competitive CSP program in the Fall of 2024. Five schools were awarded continuation subgrants in 2025—schools that had been awarded in a prior cycle. The League subsequently applied for and was awarded a supplemental grant from the Federal Government in 2025, and then awarded 15 subgrants to Colorado charter schools. These schools are listed on our awards page.
The new 2026 competition Request for Application (RFA) will be available on the Great Schools Colorado's competitions page, and a webinar will be held to review the RFA and answer questions before the competition opens. The Kick-Off Webinar for the 2025-2026 Grant Cycle will be held on January 21, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. MST via Zoom. The Colorado League of Charter Schools is administering $77 million in federal education funding (Federal Grant Award #S282A240003) to help Colorado expand students' opportunities to attend high-quality public charter schools that meet and exceed state academic standards. New charter schools, as well as those seeking to expand or replicate existing schools, are welcome to apply.
