The 2025 Charter School Advocacy Day took place on Tuesday, January 28th, in downtown Denver, bringing together charter school students, teachers, and leaders from across Colorado for a day of advocacy, learning, and leadership.
Attendees gained insight into the legislative process, learned effective advocacy strategies, and explored education bills that could impact charter schools. Participants also had the opportunity to visit the Capitol and meet with elected officials to discuss the unique needs of charter schools and how policymakers can support them.
Middle and high school staff brought groups of students to participate in advocacy training and role-playing exercises to prepare for Capitol visits. The event concluded with lunch and engaging discussions with legislators and their staff.
This impactful day strengthened the collective voice of charter school advocates, reinforcing the importance of policy engagement and community support.
