The Secondary School Principal serves as the chief administrator of a secondary school in developing and implementing policies, programs, curriculum activities, and budgets in a manner that promotes the educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member.

The teacher is the facilitator of learning and responsible for the students during the entire school day. Teachers are held accountable for preparing engaging, inspiring lessons that support the Monument Academy curriculum, maintaining a positive classroom environment and ensuring student safety. Teachers are responsible for supporting student success through the monitoring of student progress, maintenance of accurate records, and the MTSS process.

East Hills Academy is a K-8 charter school in the classical tradition with a mission to increase access to students who often face barriers to attending such schools. By providing bussing, a family-friendly school schedule and calendar, before and after school care, and summer programming, we believe that we can provide an excellent classical education to more students in Colorado Springs. We will open in August 2026 with kindergarten through second grade and expand one grade each year.
