Educators encouraged to complete the Teaching and Learning Conditions Colorado survey

DENVER -- The Colorado Department of Education and the League encourage all school leaders and school support professionals to participate in the statewide Teaching Learning Conditions Colorado (TLCC) survey, which launched today.

This confidential, anonymous survey will be available at www.TLCCsurvey.org until 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23. Individuals who work in schools can obtain their site survey codes from their school leaders.

The biennial survey provides an important opportunity for educators, building leaders, and school support professionals to share feedback and insights on the teaching and learning conditions in their schools and districts. The state uses survey responses to understand the areas where educators need resources and support. Schools and districts that reach 50% staff participation and receive at least five responses can also access survey results to better understand the needs and concerns of the educators in their communities.

“Colorado’s educators and school staff are at the heart of every learning environment,” said Education Commissioner Susana Córdova. “They see what students need each day and understand which supports make the biggest difference. Their perspectives are essential as we work to strengthen teaching and learning statewide, and we encourage every school-based employee to share their voice.”

Educators and support professionals will receive codes to complete the survey anonymously. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and includes questions on facilities and resources, professional development, instructional practices, student and staff wellbeing, and supports for new teachers.

The Colorado Department of Education will release a summary report in April that will include trend data from the 2024 survey administration and statewide comparisons.
