Study Highlights the Importance of the Foods Offered to Children
A recent study led primarily by CU Anschutz researchers found that elementary-age children generally ate the foods they were offered. The findings point to opportunities for families and school meal programs to increase access to vegetables, legumes, whole grains, and other nutrient-rich foods while reducing foods and beverages high in sodium, saturated fat, and added sugars.
