CIVA Educator Earns Top Honors in “Best of the Springs”

CIVA Charter High School continues to stand out as a leader in the Best of the Springs awards, with educator Rachel Van Scoy earning Gold (1st place) for Best High School Educator in 2026. An eight-year veteran at CIVA, Van Scoy was recognized for her impact in the classroom and her dedication to students, marking a proud moment for the entire school community.

Principal Randy Zimmerman shared the news, celebrating the achievement and noting that a CIVA teacher has finished on the podium each of the past five years. This year’s top honor continues that strong tradition, following recognitions for Keith Benson (2025 winner), Krasi Daskalov (2024 runner-up), Sean Dineen (2023 runner-up), and Haley Wolfe (2022 winner).
