Sharing a training opportunity with CDE -

CDE is launching its first ever NEW School Business Manager training for this fall, 2026. While targeted towards new school business managers, anyone is welcome. This class is perfect for a Business Manager new to Colorado, new to K12 or new to business operations.

Topics to be discussed in this one-day 8 hour intensive training include:
- Colorado School Finance 101
- Accounting Basics
- Intro to Governmental Accounting
- CDE Chart of Accounts
- Grants Accounting
- Cash Mgmt/Bank Reconciliations
- Payroll Practices & Procedures
- Accounts Payable Practices & Procedures
- Other Misc Topics

The trainings are tentatively scheduled as follows (please block your calendar):

9/11/26 – Northern Colorado (Ft. Collins)
10/16/26 - Southeast Colorado (LaJunta)
10/30/26 – Western Colorado (Probably Montrose)
11/06/26 – Mountains Colorado (Probably Glenwood Springs)
11/13/26 – Eastern Colorado (Limon)

The training will be from 8am to 5pm. Lunch will be provided. Agendas and materials will be prepared later.
