About Parker Core Knowledge

Founded in 1994, Parker Core Knowledge began as a shared vision among a small group of dedicated parents. Today, it has grown into an award-winning school of excellence, earning both state and national recognition for student growth and achievement while serving more than 800 students from preschool through 8th grade.

Rooted in the Core Knowledge curriculum, PCK combines rigorous academics with a strong emphasis on literacy and character development. Classroom learning is brought to life through meaningful, hands-on experiences that connect lessons to real-world situations and historical context. Supported by committed teachers and a robust staff, each student benefits from a personalized approach designed to deliver a premier education.

PCK is also distinguished by its vibrant and engaged community. Parent volunteers play an essential role, contributing their time and talents in many ways, from serving on a governing Board of Directors to providing classroom support. This support also fosters a strong partnership between the school and parents, encouraging families to take an active role in their child’s learning at home so that lessons taught during the school day are reinforced and retained.

Together, this collaborative model empowers students to reach their full potential, equipping them to become critical thinkers, responsible citizens, and future leaders.
