Like many other charter schools, RMP used to handle all its AP processes manually, including invoice entry, capturing approvals, and cutting checks in-house. By partnering with Edstruments in 2024, RMP was able to automate and outsource much of this manual work, leading to 300+ hours of time saved, a 6-day reduction in time for vendors to receive payment, and a 99% reduction in checks printed on-site. In addition, Edstruments allowed them to greatly speed up their audit and avert a major fraud crisis. In this session, participants will hear directly from RMP finance team members about how they were able to achieve these results and learn how Edstruments can support their needs as well.
Aditya Kaddu is the Co-Founder & CEO of Edstruments, a financial software hub purpose-built for K12 schools spanning budgeting, procurement, accounts payable, and employee spend. Aditya began his career as a TFA charter school teacher in Houston, TX, where he taught AP Calculus and PreCalculus. Following this, he pursued a joint MBA and MA in Education at Stanford University, where he studied the intersection of school leadership and finance. Following a brief stint as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, Aditya launched Edstruments in 2019 and has gone on to serve hundreds of charter schools across the US.
Laura Anaya is the Manager of Accounting & Fiscal Operations at Rocky Mountain Prep, a Colorado-based charter school network, where she has been with the organization for over three years. She leads accounts payable operations, supporting timely invoice processing, approvals, and system efficiency across the organization, using Edstruments on a daily basis. Laura plays an active role in improving systems and workflows to make payment processing more effective and efficient across the organization. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
