Poll: Take Five Minutes to Tell Us Where We Can Help Improve Regulatory Requirements

Each fall, the League invites our members to share their input on policy priorities for the upcoming legislative agenda. Our team, along with the League’s Governmental Affairs Committee (GAC) comprised of school representatives and policy partners, then works to refine these recommendations before they are placed before our board for final approval in December.

Today, we’re seeking your insights on a specific topic.

Give us your insight

Prateek Dutta, VP of Policy for the League, has been on a listening tour to hear directly from as many members as possible. One recurring theme is the growing burden of state-imposed reports and requirements, which often detract from valuable time with students and families. For instance, some members have noted Unified Improvement Plans and the certification process for the Science of Reading as areas where lots of time is spent, and improvements could be made.

What are those rules and regulations that you find overly burdensome and believe do not contribute meaningfully to student achievement?

Please take five minutes to complete our brief survey and tell us where we can help improve the regulatory environment.

Other issues that you think the League should be focused on for the 2025 Legislative Session? Don’t hesitate to contact Prateek at [email protected] to discuss further.
