Retaining talented teachers continues to be one of the most pressing challenges facing schools today. This workshop shows school leaders how a positive, inclusive culture is a powerful tool for keeping great teachers. We'll share low-cost strategies to build a strong school culture,  —  — including all staff and students — to improve teacher well-being, job satisfaction, and long-term retention. Key highlights include:

- Articulating the connection between a healthy school culture and improved teacher retention and reduced burnout.
- Sharing a minimum of 10 no-cost or low-cost strategies to improve staff culture.
- Understanding why including students and all staff members (not just teachers) is essential for a truly positive school environment.

Participants will leave with a clear understanding of the tangible steps they can take to build a culture where every staff member feels valued, supported, and connected. They will leave with ideas that can be implemented immediately in their buildings to not only foster a stronger school culture but also a stable and effective school environment for all.

Principal, Ben Franklin Academy

Diana began her educational career teaching 5th and 6th grades before transitioning to middle school social studies. After thirteen years in the classroom, she transitioned to an Academic Director and then an Assistant Principal. She currently serves as the Principal at Ben Franklin Academy, a DCSD charter school where she is in her eighth year. Diana has been partnering with the school district for over 28 years, and served on the opening teams for three public charter schools in Douglas County.
