As charter schools continue to face uncertainty around federal funding, securing diverse and sustainable sources of revenue has become more critical than ever. This session is designed to equip school leaders, board members, and development staff with practical strategies for identifying and engaging potential donors and funders.
The workshop will begin with an overview of why targeted donor and funder identification is essential in today’s educational landscape, highlighting approaches that strengthen cultivation and long-term relationships. Presenters will then demonstrate how to use leading research tools such as Instrumentl, Candid, and iWave to uncover aligned individuals, companies, and foundations.
Attendees will learn how to apply relationship mapping techniques, prioritization frameworks, and prospect templates to streamline their research, save time, and organize opportunities effectively. By the end of the session, participants will leave with a clear process and ready-to-use resources to strengthen fundraising efforts and move top prospects into action.
