(44) Title IX in Action: Preparing School Leaders for Compliance

11am – 12pm MST, 26 February 2026 ‐ 1 hour

Room: Primrose

Hot Topics: Legal

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a critical federal law that prohibits sex-based discrimination in educational institutions. Despite its longstanding presence, many school leaders still face challenges in understanding and enforcing Title IX policies.

School leaders must be equipped with knowledge about Title IX to feel confident about implementing the policies and speaking with parents. This presentation aims to fill that gap by providing school leaders with the essential knowledge about the Title IX grievance process and how to handle a Title IX complaint once an issue arises. At the conclusion, participants will be able to properly conduct an intake of a complaint, understand the grievance process, and implement supportive measures for students.
