Senior Consultant, Colorado Department of Education, Office of Online and Blended Learning
A Blended Learning Senior Consultant with CDE since 2021, Mallorie’s experience spans from K-12 to higher- corporate- and government-education. With a Bachelors in special education and masters in school counseling, Mallorie began teaching and counseling school-age students. She then coordinated a collegiate Disability & Access Services office before supporting K-12 school leaders, administrators, and teachers nationwide with online education for special populations. Now, leading Colorado’s BLI allows Mallorie to focus on state-specific instruction and policy innovation by connecting with stakeholders throughout the field and state.

Renee Martinez
Office Supervisor, Colorado Department of Education
Renee Martinez is the Director of the Office of Online and Blended Learning at the Colorado Department of Education. In this role, she supports a team that works to ensure high quality options for students in online schools, district-run online programs, and blended learning models. Prior to working at CDE, Renee worked as an elementary teacher in both online and brick and mortar settings. She served on the Colorado Department of Higher Education’s Open Education Resource Council from 2017-2023.
