(59) Find the Hours: AI Impact on Student Support + Equity

8.30am – 9.30am MST, 4 March 2027 ‐ 1 hour

Room: Red Rock 7

Workshop Sessions

Every charter school has dedicated people spending hours pulling reports, tracking special education deadlines, identifying students at risk of leaving, and matching students with teachers. Much of that work involves sorting through spreadsheets, student information systems, and inboxes. That's the grunt work AI should be handling so staff can focus on students.

In this hands-on session, explore AI strategies that have improved student support, advising, placement, retention, and special education compliance. Then conduct a quick time audit of your school's workflows, sorting tasks into three categories:

AI should handle it.
AI should assist a person.
The work should remain human.

Examine equity and privacy considerations before using student data, and learn to distinguish real solutions from impressive demos. Leave with a practical, one-semester plan to test an AI-supported improvement at your school.
