Ian Stout
Executive Director, Loveland Classical Schools
Dr. Ian Stout serves as the Executive Director of Loveland Classical Schools, where he leads the implementation of the school’s mission and vision to provide a high-quality classical education for students and families. He has been with Loveland Classical Schools since its founding in 2011 and has served as the school’s leader for more than a decade.
Dr. Stout earned bachelor’s degrees in History and Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he focused on the history of thought with an emphasis on comparative ontology. He later completed a Master of Arts in Education with a concentration in educational leadership at Goddard College in Vermont, followed by a Doctor of Education in executive leadership from the University of Colorado Denver. He holds both Colorado Principal and Superintendent licenses.
In addition to his role at Loveland Classical Schools, Dr. Stout serves on the Board of Directors of the Colorado League of Charter Schools, supporting school choice and charter schools across the state. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the wilderness, and engaging deeply with the classics and the principles of classical education.
