Morgan Ray
Special Services Administrator, KIPP Colorado
Currently, I serve as an Assistant Principal of Special Services in the KIPP Colorado Regional network. I have a M.Ed. in Special Education from Howard University and a B.A. in Sociology from George Washington University. My background in education includes 16 years of diverse work experience as a licensed special education teacher, coach, and administrator. I have directed programs for learners of all ages working in schools and with non-profit organizations. I have nearly 10 years of experience leading the development of multi-tiered systems of support in schools in DC, VA, and CO. At my school, I lead and manage the MTSS, Special Education, 504, Gifted and Talented, and Affective Needs programs. My approach to meeting students' needs is equity-driven and data-informed. I am passionate about designing effective learning solutions that change trajectories public learning institutions have historically imposed on neurodiverse students, students with disabilities, and students from underserved backgrounds. One of my greatest strengths as an educator and student advocate is inspiring a boundless love for learning and a desire to exceed expectations for limitless opportunities. I am committed to working on the front lines of education: serving the most vulnerable populations; growing the brains of teachers and students; and, building culture, systems, and partnerships. I am always eager to collaborate with dynamic organizations that support the growth and development of dedicated educators.
